Making a logo for your blog

Very quickly I decided that I wanted to do something to make my blog seem just a little less "bog standard Blogger template by clueless guy" (which it was/is to be fair).

I decided that a good way of doing this was to change the name of my blog from the standard fonts into something of my own creation.

This would also give me a chance to give my blog a better sense of identity.

Of course, having no artistic talent of my own whatsoever, I decided that, as always, the solution must be somewhere on the internet.

And lo, the internet did not let me down!

If you simply Google "free logo creation online" you'll find a ton of sites that lets you quickly design your own logo as a picture and save it to your computer, so you can upload it to your blog, replacing the standard headline.

I personally went with Cooltext.com, which just lets you write something and then puts in in a font of your choosing.

I deliberately went with a logo that reminded me of an 80's retro style and added some "space" background

The logo matches my blogs vibe of tongue in cheek writing that does not take itself too seriously.
It also gives off the sci-fi look that I was looking to convey.

So logos. They are a quick and easy way of giving your blog some personality without doing much work.
